Happy 5 Years!
Today is the 5 year anniversary of the opening of The Source Cafe. (Scroll to the bottom for our anniversary gift!)
It’s one of those days where you look back, and on the one hand, it feels like yesterday, and where did the time go? And on the other hand, so much has happened in 5 years from hard-learned lessons to incredible joys.
My vision was to create a unique cafe that was both chef-driven and health-inspired. My health challenges, my desire to change, my desire to feel better and heal with food were all the inspiration for The Source.
Over 5 years, much of my job has been giving up doing it all myself. It has been about handing my vision and my values and my dream over to the amazing staff who keeps The Source going everyday. From the bottom of my heart I have to give my immense gratitude to my business partner Cindy, to my mom who’s been supporting The Source all along, and to every employee who has been a part of the service team at The Source. I have been blessed to have hardworking individuals on staff who care about our mission, and who keep the connection between my original vision and our guests alive through the creation of each dish served and daily interaction with thousands of people who just want to eat delicious food that happens to be healthy – – or healthy food that happens to be delicious.
This dream has been about giving the gift of creative, delicious, healthy food to people with health challenges and tricky diets, to parents navigating food allergies, to athletes seeking fuel, and to anyone who is discerning about how they nourish themselves.
I want to thank you, our guests, who keep us going. We value you beyond what words can express, and we look forward to making your world better for another 5 years and beyond! With dedication and passion, we approach a second location in Redondo Beach in 2018, and many more years of creating nourishment for your mind, body, and soul.
