activated charcoal cocktail

I love knowing that I can eat really clean at home and at The Source. But what happens when you go out to a restaurant and you’re just not sure what they’re using back in that kitchen? How can you take care of your sensitive body when you want to have a cocktail, go to a party, or eat something of unknown quality?

My solution is an activated charcoal cocktail.

If I know I’m going to eat something of questionable quality, something that likely contains GMOs, or if I’m going to drink something alcoholic, I first make a charcoal cocktail. It helps by absorbing toxins and reducing gas and bloating.

1 capsule activated charcoal (I use bulletproof brand)

1/2 cup aloe vera juice

1/2 cup coconut water

1/2 cup water

juice from 1/2 lemon

Empty the capsule into a glass and then fill with the water, coconut water, and lemon juice.

Drink the cocktail at least 20 minutes before you eat or drink something questionable.

Be sure to drink lots of water throughout the next day… Charcoal works to detoxify by absorbing toxins, so you have to be sure to flush the charcoal and toxins out of your system with lots of water.

I absolutely LOVE The Source Cafe and your amazing food. You used to have charcoal lemonade, which I became addicted to. My fav is still Tumeric Tonic! I’m fascinated with foods that heal and prevent diseases. I love to cook and have tried replicating some of your recipes 😊 Love that you use Bulletproof products. Keep up the great job!
